However, now games are quite a bit different, as you can extend your gameplay beyond what is available on the disc courtesy of downloadable content. Here’s a look at some games that do a fine job of utilizing Microsoft’s Xbox LIVE distribution service beyond their initial content:

Army of Two’s free, massive Veteran Map Pack is a great deal for fans of the game’s co-op elements.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas
With the Red and Black Player’s Packs offering new maps and gameplay modes (for free, no less) there’s no reason for Rainbow Six fans not to download this.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
CoD 4’s Variety Map Pack is a great addition to the game’s already stellar online gameplay.
