THQ's Holiday Videogames Expected To Be At The Top Of Wish Lists
With the holidays rapidly approaching, we just wanted to remind you that THQ's extensive library of videogames will offer something for everyone this busy shopping season. Boasting titles based on three of the top holiday films: The Incredibles, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and The Polar Express across multiple game systems, THQ's games are sure to be at the top of many wish lists. In addition to these family hits, THQ offers innovative gamer content, including WWE SmackDown! Vs. RAW for the PlayStationâ2, Full Spectrum Warrior for the Xbox and PC, as well as Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War for PC.
THQ is offering its best line-up to date, with a game portfolio that supports all major gaming systems, including the upcoming Ping Pals for the new Nintendo DS.
The Incredibles - Based on a Walt Disney Pictures presentation of a Pixar Animation Studios film that has already broken box office records on the big screen, The Incredibles videogame calls gamers of all ages into action to discover their superhero strength on the small screen. The game features intense superhero action and adventure combined with the unique graphical style and humor of the film. The game was developed by THQ's Heavy Iron studios and is available for PlayStation2, Xbox, GameCubeä, Game Boyâ Advance and PC/Mac. In addition, a second version of the game, The Incredibles: When Danger Calls for PC/Mac, allows younger gamers 10 levels of engaging activities based on the film's characters, settings, and events.
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie videogame - Players will soak up the excitement of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie videogame, which features daring new maneuvers, a tidal wave of vocal talent and special cameo appearances. The game allows players to play as the hilarious would-be hero SpongeBob or his ever-faithful sidekick Patrick as they work together to save Mr. Krabs and all of Bikini Bottom. Developed by THQ's Heavy Iron studios, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie game is available for PlayStation2, Xbox, GameCube, Game Boy Advance and PC.
The Polar Express - In this inspiring adventure based on The Polar Express movie, players will take an extraordinary ride through eight exciting chapters. A conductor shepherds players aboard the train and through a journey to the North Pole. Along the way, they will meet memorable characters from the film including the Girl Know-It-All, Lonely Boy, the Hobo, Smokey & Steamer and the Elves. The game was developed by THQ's newly acquired Australian-based studio, Blue Tongue Entertainment.
WWE SmackDown! Vs. RAW - The most successful WWE videogame series of all time, from the THQ and JAKKS Pacific (NASDAQ: JAKK) joint venture, brings fans the next phenomenon in sports entertainment with WWE SmackDown! Vs. RAW. Two worlds collide as the most elite wrestling Superstars in the world square off in this title that brings online gameplay to the SmackDown series for the first time. Additional WWE SmackDown Vs. RAW features include Superstar voice over and in-game commentary, players will also have the ability to create a belt and then put it on the line against a friend in a fully customizable Pay-Per-View event. Developed by Yukes, WWE SmackDown! Vs. RAW is currently available for PlayStation2.
Full Spectrum Warrior - Players will command and coordinate the actions of two infantry squads leading them through a hostile urban war zone, as they outthink, outmaneuver and battle enemies through 13 levels of intense combat. In addition, players can also go online and team up with a friend for Two-Player Co-Op game play. Full Spectrum Warrior is based on a light infantry-training simulator designed by Pandemic Studios for the U.S. Army as a tool to reinforce Army combat doctrine and squad tactics among troops. Developed by Pandemic Studios, Full Spectrum Warrior is available for Xbox and PC.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War is a real-time strategy (RTS) game based on the world of Warhammer 40,000 - the dark, futuristic, fantasy universe from Games Workshop traveled by millions worldwide. In Dawn of War, players have the opportunity to command four highly unique races, including Humanity's finest - the Space Marines, the villainous traitors of man - the Chaos Space Marines, the savage beasts - the Orks, or the psychic and technologically advanced alien warriors - the Eldar. With each race it is vital to master their distinct abilities, weapons, and tech tree to eradicate the enemy and rule the known universe. Developed by THQ's Relic Entertainment, Dawn of War is available for PC.
Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams - Players will join Tak in an epic adventure as he must learn new Juju magic to recover the Staff of Dreams and defeat the evil Tlaloc once and for all. Now dabbling with new abilities, Tak is creating a little Juju magic of his own. He's even working on mastering the ancient Juju magic of the animals. Between possessing them and turning into his Spirit Animal, Tak's got a lot to learn. Developed by Avalanche Software, Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams is available for PlayStation2, Xbox, GameCube and Game Boy Advance.
Ping Pals - Created for the new Nintendo DS videogame system, Ping Pals will allow gamers to create and customize their very own online avatar, known as a Ping Pal, based on their own individual style by choosing from thousands of different options. Then they can trade, play numerous mini-games, discover secret code words, and share their Ping Pal with friends to earn Coins that allow them to unlock cool new items to customize their Ping Pal and make him/her really zing. Players will be encouraged to find and collect all of the hottest gear for their Ping Pals, in order to be deemed the hottest dude or coolest chic. Developed by WayForward, Ping Pals for the Nintendo DS will ship to retail on December 7.
Nicktoons: Movin' - Players will join hosts SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star as they take kids through an amazing new gameplay experience. The PlayStation®2 EyeToy(tm) will allow players to literally jump inside the videogame, where they must use their own body movements to control the action in 11 different mini-games. All the mini-games are based on popular Nickelodeon TV shows including SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius, Rocket Power and Danny Phantom, along with special cameo appearances from other Nicktoons. Developed by Mass Media, Nicktoons: Movin' is available for PlayStation2. There is also a Nicktoons Game Boy Advance game available, Nicktoons: Freeze Frame Frenzy.

Also, consumers won't want to miss out on Hot Wheels Stunt Track Challenge for PlayStation2, Xbox, Game Boy Advance and PC. Game Boy Advance exclusive titles include Sonic Advance 3 and LEGOâ Knights' Kingdom.
