ASPYR MEDIA, INC. ANNOUNCES EXPECTED SHIP DATE FOR MEN OF VALOR

Aspyr Media, Inc. announced today they are planning to ship Men of Valor mid-December, in time for the holiday season. This news comes on the heels of Vivendi's announcement that the PC version of Men of Valor has gone gold and Aspyr is supporting the Mac version. Aspyr is working closely with Vivendi in a collaborative effort to bring the title, a first-person shooter set in Vietnam, to Mac gamers by the end of the year. With an expected Mac release less than six weeks after the title goes to Xbox and PC, Aspyr has already begun developing Men of Valor and will be vigorously testing the title to keep it on the path for a quick release.

Men of Valor is the first Vietnam-based fps to be released for Mac. Experience warfare in the jungles of Southeast Asia through the eyes of U.S. forces or Viet Cong guerillas. Players take on the role of U.S. Marine Dean Shepard, from the early stages of the war through the Tet Offensive. Based on the tour of duty of U.S. troops from 1965-1968, Men of Valor uses authentic weaponry and detailed environments to recreate the infamous conflict. From jungle-based ambushes to machine gun operations upon a Huey helicopter, Men of Valor allows you to choose among twenty different weapons from both sides of the conflict, including an M16, M60, AK47 and more.
