BREED” Named PC Game of the Show at ECTS 2002 CDV Claims Award for the Second Year in a Row
LONDON, ENGLAND - September 4, 2002 - CDV Software Entertainment AG, one of the leading German publishers and distributors of gaming software, has once again captured the ECTS award for PC Game of the Show, this time with Brat Design's science-fiction shooter “BREED.” For the second year in a row, CDV rocked ECTS and claimed the PC game of the show award as last year Radon Labs' “Project Nomads” received the award at ECTS 2001.
The Game of the Show Awards were voted for by a panel of elite European journalists and presented at ECTS on Friday 30th August 2002.
CDV UK President Terry Malham is delighted with the award: "We are very pleased to have won this award for the second year running. 'BREED' is a fantastic game and the guys at Brat Design have been working very hard on it. To have beaten stiff competition including the likes of 'Unreal Tournament' makes the win even more of an honor."
A demo of “BREED” will be available at the beginning of October, displaying the huge potential of this title. It will contain the first single player mission and a tutorial.
Attached are some new screens from the game, along with a winners photo (Ed Scio, director and lead programmer, from Brat Designs in the middle, with Andy Lane, ECTS events director on the left and TV presenter Gareth Jones on the right).
