A Tale in the Desert Developer Chat. Wed Sept 1st 6pm Eastern
Pittsburgh, PA - Game of the Year (DIYGames) award winner, A Tale in the Desert (ATITD), continues to raise the benchmark for online games with yet another unique synergy for multi-player online games. Wednesday September 1, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. EDT there will be an developer chat between players and the development team to discuss the next version of the game and its current state of readiness and enhancement stability. A Tale in the Desert 2 is scheduled for launch on Friday September 3rd, 2004 at Noon Eastern.
Andrew Tepper and his staff of developers are encouraging the testers to attend this online chat to be hosted in #atitd channel, on irc.stratics.com. "In the past the players of the game have voted to remove features from the game, add features to the game and banish players that disrupt the gaming environment. Sometimes the code changes take 5 minutes and sometimes they take 5 months, but we do allow the players to determine the feature changes. The beta players have only scratched the surface of the game play that has changed in this new version, but the core program seems stable, and it looks like we might be ready to launch live."
