Meet the Soldier from Team Fortress 2

Valve has released a new trailer and details from their upcoming game, Team Fortress 2

Meet the Soldier, one of nine playable character classes in Team Fortress 2. The second in a series of character profile movies is now available from the link below.

ABOUT THE SOLDIER:

• Name: Soldier
• Role: Offense
• Weapons: Rocket Launcher / Shotgun / Shovel
• Favorite World War: 2
• Special Ability: Rocket Jump
• Bio:
  Though he wanted desperately to fight in World War 2, the Soldier was rejected from every branch of the U.S. military. Undaunted, he bought his own ticket to Europe. After arriving and finally locating Poland, the Soldier taught himself how to load and fire a variety of weapons before embarking on a Nazi killing spree for which he was awarded several medals that he designed and made himself. His rampage ended immediately upon hearing about the end of the war in 1949.

ABOUT TEAM FORTRESS 2:

Team Fortress 2 (TF2) is the sequel to the game that put class-based, multiplayer team warfare on the map. This video showcases TF2's implementation of the Source engine's advanced facial animation technology, which enables real-time, in-game, in-engine facial animations that can now surpass the facial animations used in feature film and broadcast television production.

Team Fortress 2 is coming Fall 2007 as part of the Orange Box, which also features Half-Life® 2: Episode Two and Portal and includes Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One. The Orange Box will be available for the PC, as well as the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 console systems.
