Baseball Mogul Gets a Free Upgrade
Sports Mogul Inc. recently announced the release of Version 9.43, a free upgrade for Baseball Mogul 2007. For existing customers, this should install automatically the next time they run Baseball Mogul 2007. (If it doesn't, choose 'Check For New Version' from the Help Menu).
This version includes several major additions to the game engine and record-keeping:
- The Baseball Mogul simulation engine has been
re-written from the ground up.
Instead of waiting for next year, we chose to include the new engine in Version
9.43 so that our existing customers could enjoy the most realistic simulation available. From 1901 to 2006 and beyond, Baseball Mogul now simulates each pitch according to the physics, play style and AI appropriate to each time period -- including improved adjustments for wind, weather and field conditions. - Baseball Mogul now provides the option to save every Major League player after they retire. Even if you play for several hundred seasons, Baseball Mogul saves every stat for every player. Just choose 'Save Retired Players' in League Options.
- New Player Development Engine. The player creation and development engine has been re-worked to create more realistic maturation and development, with new adjustments for positions and historical era. Like the real world, the stars of tomorrow are hard to find -- and late-round draft picks now have a better chance at developing into Hall Of Famers.
- Simulation Settings. From player aging rates to the talent level in the Amateur Draft, users can now adjust almost every aspect of play.
Baseball fans who don't already own Baseball Mogul 2007 can download the game for $19.99 at www.sportsmogul.com. Or they can buy the boxed version at their local computer game store.
