id Software Begins Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Beta

id Software has begun to roll out its Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars public beta at www.fileplanet.com. Up to 60,000 ETQW fans (first-come-first-serve) will have the opportunity to play a beta build of the game and offer feedback about their experience. In turn, the public beta will allow the development teams at Splash Damage and id Software to test ETQW with a major audience as they continue to refine the gameplay experience. The beta is currently open to Fileplanet subscribers and will open to non-subscribers in the next few days….Fileplanet registration will be required.

 The public beta will feature “Sewer,” a map that takes players to the Miura Peninsula in Kanagawa, Japan for one of the key battles in the Pacific Theatre of Operations.
