Telltale Games' Bone Series Coming to Retail in UK

The Bone series based on the immensely popular comic book series by Jeff Smith was previously available as a download. From 18 May 2007, XIDER Games is to deliver a box version of Bone: Out from Boneville and Bone: The Great Cow Race to the UK shelves at a competitive price [£9.99 each].

Based on the immensely popular comic book series by Jeff Smith, the Bone games have all the dry sense of humour and black comedy of the comics with the added bonus of clever riddles and interactive entertainment. From the moment the game begins, players are transported into a vivid and amusing world that will have them laughing from the very start. Jokes, riddles and superb attention to detail have made them a cult classic.

In Bone: Out from Boneville, the Bone cousins find themselves lost in a barren desert, separated from one another inside a huge cloud of locusts. Their eviction from their home town is thanks to the failure of yet another one of Phoney Bone’s typical schemes and now it’s up to the player to help them find one another again.

Fone Bone has in his possession a mysterious map that leads him into a lush green valley and introduces him to some startling and strange new characters. It is here that the real search for his cousins begins, and where the player gets to solve plenty of amusing and delightful riddles.

In Bone: The Great Cow Race, the reunited cousins find themselves in Barrelhaven, a small town with a big, upcoming event – ‘The Great Cow Race’. The townsfolk are buzzing with excitement and debating who will be this year’s winner and the irrepressible Phoney Bone is caught up in yet another wicked scheme.

This time he plans to make a fortune by rigging the bets and getting Smiley to dress up as a Mystery Cow so he can throw the race at the last minute. Poor old Fone Bone has had his first fight with his beloved Thorn and he’s desperate to find a way back into her affections. Once again the game is packed full of clever riddles and black humor to constantly amuse.

Bone is an interactive point and click adventure game played using the mouse. Clicking on different characters or objects allows interaction to help guide the player through the adventure.
