VU Games PC Line-Up Hits the Slopes at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival

 

VU Games has teamed up with Senet Entertainment to bring F.E.A.R.™, S.W.A.T.™ 4, The Chronicles of Riddick™: Escape from Butcher Bay and Half-Life®2  to the GameHex™ LAN Gaming System in The Miner’s Club Lounge throughout the duration of the Sundance Film Festival – January 20th – 30th.  The Miner's Club Lounge is a hospitality lounge for the elite attendees of the Sundance Festival, hosting film industry executives and high profile celebrities and is accessed via invitation only.  Guests will be able to get a sneak peek at the multiplayer for both F.E.A.R. and S.W.A.T. 4 – both titles are due out later this year.

 

All guests will be able to experience the following games: 

  • F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) is an intense combat experience with rich atmosphere and an engaging story presented entirely in first person.

  • S.W.A.T 4 provides the ultimate law enforcement experience for fans of fast-paced PC action games, combining unrelenting excitement with immersive realism to propel the player through the world of the most elite police force as they stand as the last bastion of urban justice.

  • Experience life behind the eyes of Richard B. Riddick as he sets foot inside Butcher Bay, the toughest prison this side of hell.  Set before the events of both Universal Pictures' upcoming summer release The Chronicles of Riddick, starring Vin Diesel, and the 2000 cult classic Pitch Black, which first introduced Diesel as enigmatic anti-hero Riddick, the game tells the story of Riddick's dramatic escape from the previously inescapable triple max security slam Butcher Bay, home to the most violent prisoners in the galaxy.

  • Half-Life 2 opens the door to a world where the player’s presence affects everything around him, from the physical environments to the behaviors – even the emotions – of both friends and enemies.  The player again picks up the crowbar of research scientist, Gordon Freeman, who finds himself on an alien-infested Earth being picked to the bone, its resources depleted and its population dwindling.  Freeman is thrust into the unenviable role of rescuing the world from the wrong he unleashed back at Black Mesa.
