Marvel Heroes Comic Book Creator Review
I can still remember trading super-hero cards and running up and down my neighborhood pretending I could fly and laser-beam stray cats … I still remember because that was last week. So you can imagine how excited I was to find a copy of Marvel Heroes Comic Book Creator on my doorstep. The pure simplicity and ease of use this package offers is unmatched. It takes a mere five minutes to make one of the most professional looking comic-book pages ever offered with no actual drawing or layout talent needed.
The first screen you are greeted
with is the title of your comic and the author. After thinking of a good name
you can choose from a wide variety of basic page layouts including colors, and
the number of “panels” (the sequence of small boxes on a page). The page is now
blank and ready to fill in with your imagination. Starting with backdrops, you
will work your way up in detail to things as small as a particular muzzle flash
on a gun or that perfect font to pull off the feeling for the scene. And
speaking of fonts, the default fonts for each effect is a mirror-match of those
used in all of your favorite comics, a nice little touch that shrinks the gap
between amateur to pro.
The meat of this creator is the characters, sounds and animations. Marvel has
licensed most of their popular heroes for use in the game and can all be found
from Wolverine and Spider-man to DareDevil and Ironman. Each one has a wide
assortment of close-ups, medium shots, and long shots in almost any pose;
PlanetWide Games definitely covered all their bases for you.
Finally, the last two options are the importing and audio recording options. If by chance you are artistically savvy you can import your own drawings and edit them to make a truly unique comic masterpiece. The ability to add personalized sound effects and voice-overs puts the final touch on this content-packed package.
Overall Comic Book Creator is perfect for any aspiring artist or story teller that’s into action heroes. The ease of use and the ability to quickly create that professional-looking content is what puts this creator one step above the rest. It would be villainous to not pick up this game and fulfill all those childhood dreams, even though laser-beaming cats isn’t a default layout, just remember you can certainly import it ...
