The film and game follow the story of Patience Phillips played by Halle Berry, who is killed after she uncovers a dark secret held by her employers. Brought back to life by a rare Egyptian cat, she becomes Catwoman and sets out to discover the truth about herself and her murderer. With incredible acrobatic skills, Catwoman will move and jump with feline prowess, leaping across roofs, running up walls, pouncing on prey, and avoiding enemy bullets. Players will view the world from a feline point of view and utilize unique cat attributes that allow Catwoman to change the odds to her advantage. These powers enable her to see in the dark (unlike her foes) and hunt her prey by seeing footprints and smelling trails that reveal where they have been and what they have done. Catwoman can also use her "Sixth Sense" to establish threats around her and even predict what her enemy may do next

Objectives are displayed at the beginning of each scene. Objectives are a number of impressive moves Catwoman needs to perform to achieve 100% success. At the end of each scene, your score converts into diamonds, allowing you to purchase new abilities. Every 1,000 points convert into one diamond. This is all fine and dandy, but if you are like me and try to get everything you can possibly get from a mission, it is impossible early on. Moves like Pose and Taunt cannot be bought or learned until later in the game, which make the objectives in the early games kind of silly. I suppose if you have a cheat code that would help, but this reviewer usually saves those codes for last. No big deal though, because the few diamonds you earn from your objective bonuses are small compared to what you can collect during the game.

After you complete your objectives you can view new tutorials. I still cannot grasp this concept. Let me play the game, give me a bit of in-game help, then after I have figured out on my own how to become cat-like, only then give me an area to learn about what each move does, and how to execute them. WHAT? Yes you heard me right, even basic moves are locked and you actually have already done them by the time you get to unlock them. This is not true for the moves that you purchase, but just for things like climbing, swinging, kicking, etc. You will learn how to execute them in the beginning because of the first sort of training mission, but why the hell can't I access them from the main menu? GRRRR!

Visually you can tell that a lot of the game is focused around Catwoman's sexy outfit and sultry moves. If you leave her standing to long, she starts licking her hands and does a few gyrations that would make any exotic dancer envious. This will sure to keep any male teenagers intrigued with the game no matter how much they may dislike the gameplay. Not to say that the gameplay is terrible; let's just say in my opinion it’s a bit rough around the edges. The combat sequences in the game are quite impressive, but found that most of the myriads of keys using a keyboard were awkward to say the least. Of course as in most third-person games, the camera controls were lacking a great angle all the time. Most of the game has you climbing, swinging, scaling walls, and using acrobatic moves to get you around the maps. I would have liked to seen more combat and less getting from point to point.

All in all those a fan of the movie or the DC Comic will most likely find that they will enjoy this title. Those looking for another third-person game loaded with puzzles and action will find this title to be left to the cat fans.

Gameplay: 5
UGH! Another game with lousy controls for the PC and bad camera angles. The mouse could have been more utilized to aid in this awkward keyboard style of play. Even the standard WASD keys used for movement seemed to not work quite right given the awkward camera angles. Maybe it’s the reviewer, but needless to say it was a frustrating.

Graphics: 7
The graphics were about average to say the least. Most detail went in to Catwoman's body not that I'm complaining. Most everything else was sort of bland but still made the game enjoyable in a visual aspect.

Sound: 6
The sound effects were ok, but there were a lot of cheesy voiceovers. Sorry Halle, no Oscars here. I guess no matter how good the actor; cheesy lines are cheesy lines no matter how much you sugar coat them.

Difficulty: Medium
The game itself is relatively easy, it’s the controls that make this game difficult. There is ironically more difficulty getting through the maps, then with the combat ability. Though scaling walls, swinging from poles, and whipping and grappling your way along the roof tops can be fun, but with clunky, and crappy camera angles, it makes the game a bit difficult indeed.

Concept: 5
Another third-person game with a movie title to spike sales. Sorry, same old crap in a pretty box. Would like to see games of this genre with a better gameplay for the PC. This like most third person games will probably play much better on a console.

Multiplayer: NA

Overall: 5.5
Could have been better with a bit more action and a little less acrobatics. That is unless you are combining acrobatics with a great action kick sending your enemy into next week. Keyboard and mouse controls could have been easier to use and camera angles definitely need work. But if you want to get a game out in time for a movie release, some things will go unpolished.
