Scooby Doo: Jinx at the Sphinx Review

Kids will have a ball helping Scooby Doo and the gang solve a mystery in this classic cartoon style adventure.

Velma’s cousin, Thelma, has disappeared while exploring pyramids in Egypt.  The player can help find Thelma and uncover the identity of the Mummy by solving   puzzles and collecting clues throughout the game.  Kids 5-10 will enjoy this game over and over and find it challenging because there are three levels of difficulty that can be chosen and the clues and suspects change each time the game is played. The cartoon style graphics, animation, character dialog and music are consistent with the classic Scooby Doo cartoons and are very well done.   The player easily moves from one scene to another by clicking the mouse button when there is a paw pointing in the direction they would like to go.  The player will then encounter suspects, collect clues, and play mini-games and puzzles. These mini-games and puzzles vary in difficulty depending on the difficulty level chosen and include a matching game, a math type game, a sorting game and more.  There is a slight educational element to this game as the mini-games strengthen thinking skills and the Scooby Doo gang will tell the player a lot of interesting facts about Egypt.

Kids who enjoy watching Scooby Doo will love this game.
