This isn't your mother's Pac-Man anymore!! Hasbro has come out with a new version of the much-loved Pac-Man, and this version blows the old one away! Pac-Man travels back in time to find four pieces of a mystical power pellet, known as the Artifact, stolen by the dreaded enemy, the Ghosts. This artifact helps keep all evil out of Pac-Man's homeland. To accomplish this mission, he travels to places such as Egypt and even the Wild West, although I guarantee that the Wild West never looked this good!

Characters in the game are attired in the garb of the era in which Pac-Man is visiting. You will encounter Ghosts dressed as cowboys, knights and even ancient Egyptian mummies. Each of these characters are Pac-Man's enemies and are determined to make sure that the magic pellet never falls in his hands.

To accomplish his goal and retrieve his pellet, Pac-Man must conquer five different time eras. Each era is filled with 3D mazes, each one laden with enemies. Pac-Man must eat the well-known dots, with only a few seconds in between them changing back into the ghosts. The mazes contain warp tunnels, which when engaged allow you to move to the other side of the board, helping you to escape from those Pac-Man eating ghosts. Careful though! Those ghosts can also enter those tunnels and once there, Pac-Man is again in danger.

The 3D mazes are incredible! The colors are bright and vivid and created so realistically that when playing the game, you actually feel as if you are in the game itself and not just a player. You have the option of pressing your space bar and shifting the view, allowing you two different viewpoints. One viewpoint gives you a close-up of Pac-Man and his progress, and the other view gives you a wide angle of the complete gameboard and helps you to plan your next strategic move. The same beloved music is playing in the background, and you know from the minute you begin that you are in for a fun, challenging and nostalgic time of game playing.

Installation: Easy - Installation is very easy but will require an adult to help set up the game. Set-up requires specific screen size and if your computer is not configured up correctly, the game play will be slow and have errors on exiting. A big plus though is that the game comes with Direct X7 in case you don't already have it.

Gameplay: 9.0 - Fast, challenging and will keep you playing until you have finished the mission.

Graphics: 9.0 - Graphics are very rich in color and the 3D mazes are very realistically done. The characters are bold and bright in appearance.

Sound: 9.0 -The music of the game and the Pac-Man eating sounds are very clear and have arcade-like sound.

Difficulty: 8.5 -The game takes a lot of hand and eye co-ordination but is very age appropriate is this area, which is geared toward ages 6 and above.

Concept: 9.0 - The concept of the game is to quickly acquire points to help Pac-Man accomplish his mission. Challenging, yet fun at the same time, this game is great for teaching younger ones how to strategize.

Multiplayer - Multiplayer is an option and with this game, the more that play, the more challenging the game becomes.

Overall: 9.0
