Murder on the Orient Express is a new adventure / mystery title by The Adventure Company. While based on the best selling Agatha Christie novel, you will actually play as Antoinette, as she looks to solve a murder on the Orient Express after the train hits an avalanche. The main detective in the book, Hercule Poirot, is present in the game but is injured in the accident so he will be used as more of a hint source while you guide Antoinette through the mystery.

There will be three different environments to explore and interact with, one being the train station (where you first meet Poirot and can actually shadow him), one being the train itself, where you will be able to go through all of the various cars (dinner car, sleeping car, etc.) and the outdoor environment to look for clues outside if the murderer has tried to make it out on foot. There will even be a scene where Antoinette gets kidnapped and taken to a remote cabin out in the woods where she will have to escape and try to make her way back.

The controls to the game are very comfortable for the puzzle gamer, with the cursor changing to represent places of interest or things that you might want to investigate, and all items that get picked up and added to your inventory along the way will be used to solve puzzles later on in the game. You puzzle fans should be looking out for this one later on in the year, hopefully around the same time as the movie release.
