And Then There Were None is a murder mystery game based on the book of the same name. You play as the new 11th character in this classic tale of 10 marooned guests trapped on an island with a killer.

The goal of the game is to uncover who the killer is before they get to you. To do this you will be exploring the island’s different locations, including a mansion where all the guests are staying. Each night all the remaining characters will eat dinner together and discuss clues they’ve found. Each character also has their own room, but during the day will be out and about doing their own thing.

The game is played primarily with the mouse; by clicking on an object on the floor your player will move there. Certain things will be interactive and other characters will communicate with you. Any sort of clues or worthwhile information will be added to a journal that players can refer to for a refresher.

AWE Games worked very hard to keep the game faithful to the novel, so fans of Agatha Christie’s work should be very pleased with the end results. While still keeping original content intact, there have been some twists added as well as the 11th guest.

Apart from the house there will be some outdoor areas to explore as well. I didn’t get to see any of them, but was informed that there will be certain times where weather or other events will effect where you can or can’t explore.

The game is planned to take gamers roughly 20 hours to complete, featuring 20 different puzzles to solve. Not only that, but multiple endings are in store, and each time you play the game a new mystery is randomly generated depending on how you interact with the other housemates.

Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None has a lot to live up to, but so far it looks like it’s getting the job done. It’s currently slated for fall this year on PC.
