E3 2006 First Look Preview

There are a whole lot of various action titles that have been and will be available all of which carrying various storylines but many being similar to one another. You know, play as a mercenary, monster, knight, wizard, cop … but Playlogic is looking to offer up a different style of character altogether. Infernal is a title that puts you in the role of a cop / investigator who also just happens to be from out of the depths of Hell.  

Infernal is a third person, over the shoulder shooter, and moved very smooth and fluid even when there was a lot of action going on during the demo. The name of the game comes into play with a mana bar that is found at the bottom of the screen, and when it begins getting filled up the main character will be able to activate a number of devilish powers like being able to go into an infrared style vision, increase his damage, or even zoom his vision in to get a better shot at an opponent. In addition, he will be able to use his powers and absorb auras of enemy life-force left behind in order to refill his health or mana bars. 

If there’s any of you gamers out there that are looking for a new third person shooter title that offers up some good, solid action in a format that you’ve seen only a couple of times before, then Infernal may be a game to keep your eye on.
