NHN USA introduces Huxley, one of the most ambitious online games ever created - the first massively multi-player online (MMO) game to combine the twitch-based fast action of a first-person shooter (FPS) with the cerebral character development of a massively multi-player online game (MMO) to deliver an intense and exciting online entertainment experience of a complete MMOFPS.
In the not so distant future, a huge swarm of Nuclearite clouds passing through our solar system shatters the Earth’s moon. Lunar fragments mingled with the radioactive Nuclearites and showered Earth with debris, catapulting the World into the greatest cataclysm in history. In this post-apocalyptic world human beings have mutated and divided into Sapiens, Alternatives and Hybrids. The Sapiens and Alternatives both battle for control of the Earth’s resources as the Hybrids, a mysterious third race, fight for their very survival. Do you have what it takes to obliterate and dominate the competition? Choose your side, create your character, grab a weapon and get the enemy in your cross-hairs in Huxley!
Features
FPS Game Play in a MMO Persistent World. Huxley defines a new hybrid online game genre allowing players to battle against newly-mutated human races in large scale FPS combat. Unlike traditional FPS games, players may augment their skills and weapons depending on their battle classes and gain licenses to drive vehicles and command their squads.
Unique Character Development System. Players can enhance their combat styles by obtaining futuristic weapons and new skills, which in turn continuously challenge players to adopt different game play styles as they progress. Characters can rank up in levels for a wider variety of skills and weapons specialization while also ranking up in class for more powerful armor, weapons and skills.
Outlast Enemies in PvP Battle Zones. From smaller squad-size skirmishes to adrenalin-pumping mass-scale battles involving hundreds of players, Huxley offers a range of intense PvP combat systems. Battle for Sapien or Alternative victory in standard Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag modes. Other advanced battle zones include Parts Pick-Up, Radar Domination and many more.
Squad Commandeering. Specific squad tactics, skills and commands allow unique cooperative play with 4-men teams. Engage in more strategic battles by utilizing a variety of equipment, facilities and transportation devices that are available in different maps.
Vibrant Living Cities. Backed by online servers capable of servicing up to 5,000 users per server simultaneously, players will be drawn into a new world where they can enjoy the traditional online elements of character growth and transactions, all the while taking part in an array of game elements previously missing in FPS games such as trading, banking and housing.
Superior Technology. Utilizing proven networking and server technology that supports thousands of players and the legendary Unreal Engine 3 graphics engine, Huxley provides the utmost stability during gripping battle in exotic, futuristic environments.
