Operation Flashpoint: Resistance, a dedicated expansion pack to the award-winning PC action game Operation Flashpoint, delivers a brand new campaign in the form of a prequel, set years before the original game’s Cold War Crisis scenario. Players are cast as a decorated ex-Special Forces soldier named Victor Troska who has turned his back on his military past and settled into a quiet civilian life until Soviet forces invade his home island of Nogova. Playing as a resistance soldier provides a unique experience to the original game, as players will have to scavenge for weapons and equipment this time around. Rather than a sequence of linear missions leading to one specific objective, all events in the Resistance campaign will be closely linked with the amount of equipment, ammunition and fellow soldiers under the command of the player from one mission to the next. The overall goal will be to grow forces through gaining new recruits and gathering equipment, in order to build an army powerful enough to repel the Russians.
