Description

Kaeram is a popular game played in Southeast Asia and is also getting popular in the United States and Europe. It looks like a pool game but infact it is entirely different from any pool game you have seen. Instead of balls, Kaeram has discs that slide on the surface of the board. The discs are of three colors except for the striker, which can be of any color. Unlike pool games, the striker is bigger than other discs, and also the rules of playing are all different from the pool games as well. Kaeram is played on square board with walls on the four sides. There are four pockets on the corner of the board. Kaeram has twenty discs in all. Nine black and nine white discs, one red disc called the “Queen” and a yellow “Striker” which is slightly larger in size. The Striker is used to strike the other discs so as to pocket them into any of the four pockets. The lines on the board mark the starting position or baselines for the striker. The aim of this game is to pocket all the discs of your color. The player who pockets all his discs first, wins the game.
