Dogs of War is a good program, just not unique enough to stand out in the crowd.

Description
Born To Fight, Paid To Die. Dogs of War is the first fully three-dimensional Tactical Action-Strategy game to effortlessly mix line-of-sight arcade urgency with the command interface required to lead a massed force to victory - delivering highly challenging & addictive gameplay across a breathtaking, dynamic battlefield. Story: The game takes place in the year 2161, after Earth had colonized Primus IV to exploit the rich deposits of a new element, named SL18. After some skirmishing with scattered indigenous lifeforms, the colonists take hold of Primus IV and begin mining SL18. Fast forward 40 years the colonists have been consistently used & abused by Earth, as SL18 turned out to be a valuable military-grade material. Using their newfound wealth from controlling the only known supply of SL18 in known space, the colonists of Primus IV declare their independence from Earth, hiring an elite mercenary force named the WarMonkeys for the assault they know will come from Earth. As expected, Earth retaliates by sending a contingent of its veteran Imperial Order division to quell the rebellion. And, after 40 years of breeding, the indigenous Mantai emerge from their subterranean lairs to erase humanity from the face of their homeworld. Product Features: Stunning 3D terrain governs gameplay - the line-of-sight combat model mandates victory for the best tactician. Battlefield awareness is critical to preserving your forces as you battle through canyon ridges, inch across icy wastelands and penetrate sprawling cites. Realistic scaling provides continuity in the gameworld - infantry load up into APCs, tanks loom over foot soldiers, and buildings dominate the skylines. Combat happens at a frightening pace - jump directly into the action-oriented environment, with no need for resource management. But command wisely, as experienced units are much more valuable and skilled. Scope of control - a force of up to 100 units is yours to control from above, or view the battle from an individual perspective, commanding any unit in a 3rd person over-the-shoulder angle. Form your squad from over 30 different units like the lumbering Rhinoids or the Sniper, leading them through the fury of battle. Multiplayer support for up to eight players via LAN or Internet. Death Match, Capture the Flag, Finders, and All for One.
