B-17 Flying Fortress II Ships 12/15
Hasbro Interactive has announced that B-17 FLYING FORTRESS II: THE MIGHTY EIGHTH, the much-anticipated World War II combat flight simulator CD-ROM game, will ship on December 15th
Description
They called it ‘The Mighty Eighth’ — the U.S. Army Air Force 8th Bomber Command — over 800 bombers and 8,000 air crew. Their task was to fly missions over the dangerous skies of occupied Europe and hit specific military targets with pinpoint accuracy. Their biggest problem was that they could be seen and attacked by the Luftwaffe and anti-aircraft batteries. Their solution was massive defensive formations that fought their way there and fought their way back. This was probably the most dangerous job there was in the air war. B-17 Flying Fortress® II recreates those times in a simulation that gives players everything. For the first time they have total control of every aspect of the strategic air war in Europe (including the opposition). Key Features: ? Become an expert at all ten crew positions: pilot, co-pilot, navigator, bombardier/chin turret gunner, radio operator, engineer/top turret gunner, port waist gunner, starboard waist gunner, ball gunner and tail gunner. ? Each aircraft features virtual cockpits with working instrumentation, an astoundingly real and highly detailed flight model with full flight physics and accurate damage systems. ? Learn to fly the legendary B-17G ‘Flying Fortress’ and feel the power of the massive four-engine bomber or fly the allied escort planes or the Luftwaffe interceptors. ? High-resolution 3-D graphics and sound put the player into the heart of the World War II air war experience. ? Multiplayer via TCP/IP Internet, LAN, and modem in all modes for up to 16 players.
